Care and Counsel Committee

The Care and Counsel committee of Richmond Friends’ Meeting responsibilities are to minister to the needs of our community. The committee convenes clearness committees for membership, marriage requests and personal discernment. Care and Counsel administers the membership process, oversees marriage under the care of meeting and provides emotional support to relatives and friends in the event of a death.

Activities sponsored by Care and Counsel include: sponsoring special programs, organizing Friendly Eight’s groups, overseeing the FGC and Youth Camping Scholarship Fund and maintaining the picture board.

In caring for one another, we also care for ourselves and all who share in our community. Please allow the committee to know if you or another member or attender of Meeting is in need of support, guidance or someone with whom to talk. Help us to gently reach out and care for one another.
